Overlooking old Annecy, the Château d'Annecy (Annecy Castle) is a listed building belonging to the town and a a must-see attraction in Annecy. It now houses a museum. Situated on the slopes of the Semnoz mountain, not far from the Thiou river, the outlet to Lake Annecy, the château overlooks the city's historic district and, more generally, the south of the Annecy conurbation.
